Our gracious, mahogany colonial lodge is right on the beach, facing the sea, surrounded by fragrant tropical flowering plants and the whisper of shady palms. Not only will you find serenity and relaxation. You will have the convenience of being a few miles north of San Pedro Town and its gift shops, restaurants, bars and night spots. Guests usually travel by water taxi that stops right at the dock.
We have just completed a total expansion and renovation of each of the fourteen guest rooms in our main lodge and are delighted with the results! We are now able to offer our guests larger, modernized and well-appointed accommodations while retaining the authentic Belizean colonial feel of the exterior of the lodge. Each room has all new furniture with either two queen beds or one king bed plus a small sitting area. Each bathroom features a double granite vanity, a private toilet area, a walk in shower, and a Belizean hardwood closet and drawers with a small refrigerator and coffee maker. All rooms in the main lodge remain beachfront, next to the pool and offer air-conditioning as well. Your hosts are full time residents to ensure warm, personal service around the clock.
Food and Dining
Our restaurant specializes in fresh, local Caribbean cuisine with meals served on our outdoor deck or in our dining room. We dine together in the evening to encourage camaraderie and share the day’s adventures. Each evening we feature a choice of two entrees or a buffet at dinner.
Join Us in the Bar
You may join us for hors d’oeuvres from 3:00 pm in the bar, which is the perfect place for sharing stories after a day’s activities. The house specialty is tropical rum punch, but we also offer a full selection of top shelf liquors, wine and beer. Many international cigars are available in San Pedro’s local cigar shops.

You can schedule a massage in our lodge massage room or a private fly-fishing lesson. Diving or snorkeling in our world-famous barrier reef is an adventure of a lifetime, or maybe a round of golf on a private island is your cup of tea. Cave tubing or jungle river cruise to a Maya archaeological site is a great way to spend the day. El Pescador has been owned and operated by our family since 1997.
